If possible please phone first to make an appointment as our buyer, Gerald, is not always available.
.
We offer you two ways in which to sell your jewellery.
The first method. Should you not be in a hurry to sell and we consider your item(s) appropriate for our on-line estate jewellery store and showroom we can sell on your behalf. That means you retain ownership and we take a commission should we sell your item(s).
Advantage : You will potentially get a higher price than selling outright.
Disadvantage : It could take a while to sell (up to 2 - 3 years)
Should you wish to proceed with selling on behalf and your item(s) has met our criteria then we will require a current valuation certificate for each item. You can either arrange this yourself or our valuer Gerald Westenra can provide this for you at $85.00 per item. Naturally the certificate belongs to you should you wish to remove your item from our store.
The valuation certificate is there to provide peace of mind to potential buyers.
The second method is to sell your item(s) outright to us. The price we will offer will depend on how saleable we think the item is. If your jewellery is particularly worn or broken then our very competitive 'scrap' price will be offered.
Please note that at the moment we are not buying diamond rings outright, but are still offering our sale on behalf service if we consider your item suitable for our store.
Advantage : You will be paid immediately.
If it has only 'scrap' value then you can be assured that you are getting one of the highest prices in the market place.
We will not be beaten on scrap prices.
Disadvantage : You will receive a lower price than if selling on behalf as we take the risk.
We will also consider a trade-in on your jewellery. Bring in your items that you no longer wear and walk out with a stunning piece that you'll be reluctant to take off!
If initially, you would prefer not to call in, you can receive an estimate by phoning or emailing us with a description (ideally email us a photo), gold content (eg 9ct, 14ct, 18ct) and weight. If you have a valuation certificate please also email this.
Alternatively, you can post or courier your items to us. We are also happy to post you a CourierPost bag that has automatic insurance cover up to $2,000. This service is free of charge.
We will then supply you with a quote once we receive the items. Should you decide not to sell we will return the items by courier free of charge.
